Black Sabbath playing Paranoid

As we have some Black Sabbath rarities on the site at the moment, I thought you might like to take a look at this clip I found of them playing Paranoid in Paris in 1970. We have a lot of interest in Sabbeth albums at the moment, so ours are unlikely to stay around for long. They can be viewed here or at our shop. Please phone for more info.

Going to Bestival on the Isle of Wight - see Jimi Hendrix statue

E-mail Print PDF

img 4979If you're heading to the Isle of Wight as I did this weekend, then apart from visiting Bestival you could consider going to Dimbola Lodge at Freshwater. You can see 'a permanent exhibition of the three original IOW Festivals, 1968 to 1970, the final one was within sight and sound of Dimbola. Included are original posters, tickets, press cuttings, records and images. There is a panoramic photograph of Afton Down which gives some idea of the vast audience of 600,000 gathered to watch Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Joni Mitchell, The Who, Leonard Cohen and many others.' There is a Hendrix statue in the garden . At the moment you can see an exhibition of historic stereoscopic posters loaned by Guitarist Bryan May of Queen. As a treat I found this clip of Jimi playing All along the watch towere, at the Isle of White.img 4973img 4980
